Healthy Mouth, Happy Pet:

Comprehensive  Pet Dental Care

Did you know that over 80% of dogs and cats over the age of three suffer from some form of dental disease? Just like us, neglecting your pet’s oral health can lead to serious health problems. At GoPet Services Vets, we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate dental care for your furry friend.

Expert Pet Dental Care

Our veterinary team will perform a thorough evaluation of your pet’s oral health. Based on this assessment, we will develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include cleaning, polishing, and potentially extractions as deemed necessary for your pet’s long-term dental health. Unfortunately, we are not able to give an accurate estimate of extractions needed. Therefore, we require permision to extract as many as necessary for your pet’s needs.

Common signs of Pet Dental Disease

1. Foul Breath (Halitosis):

If your pet’s breath could knock out a small animal, it’s a major red flag. This stench often indicates a buildup of bacteria in the mouth, a hallmark of dental disease.

2. Crusty Deposits on Teeth (Tartar Buildup):

Those brown or yellow hard chunks on your pet’s teeth aren’t just unsightly – they’re mineralized plaque, a breeding ground for harmful bacteria.

3. Inflamed, Red Gums (Gingivitis):

Healthy gums should be pink and firm, not bright red and puffy. Inflammation points to ongoing irritation, often from dental disease.

4. Discolored Teeth:

Yellowing, browning, or blackening of teeth can signal dental neglect and the potential for underlying issues.

5. Excessive Drooling:

Drooling more than usual can be a sign of pain or discomfort in the mouth, often related to dental problems.

Teeth shouldn’t be wobbly! This indicates advanced dental disease and potential bone loss, requiring immediate veterinary intervention.

Any sign of bleeding from the mouth is a serious concern and necessitates a prompt vet visit.

8. Difficulty or Reluctance to Eat:

If your pet seems hesitant or struggles to eat, especially hard food, dental pain could be the culprit.

Uneven chewing can indicate discomfort on one side of the mouth, potentially due to dental issues.

10. Dropping Food:

If your pet frequently drops kibble while eating, it could be due to mouth pain or difficulty chewing.

Swelling around the mouth or face can be a sign of a serious infection, often stemming from dental problems.

These signs should never be ignored. Taking your pet to the veterinarian promptly for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan is crucial for their health and well-being. Early intervention can prevent further complications and ensure your furry friend lives a happy, healthy life with a bright smile.
